Recently enacted federal regulations require enforcement of state laws affecting the delivery of distance education degrees, programs and courses to students whose physical presence is in a state other than Georgia may limit Columbus State University’s ability to offer online opportunities to these students. Below is a list of states the Columbus State University has acquired permission to offer online courses to and the status of other states.

* Approved pending “physical presence” means that Columbus State University is somewhat limited in providing programs or parts of programs in that state to its learners. “Physical presence” in this case is internship, externship, clinical, mentorship, or ANY other type of field experiential component. Examples of programs that have these components are M.S.N. Nursing, Online M.A.T. Secondary Education: Mathematics and Science, and M.Ed. Educational Leadership.
** For Iowa, Massachusetts, and Washington, Columbus State University is only permitted to provide programs to its learners if the program DOES NOT have an internship, externship, clinical, mentorship, or ANY other type of field experiential component. Examples of programs that have these components are M.S.N. Nursing, Online M.A.T. Secondary Education: Mathematics and Science, and M.Ed. Educational Leadership.
